Gmail Email Setup Guide: IMAP, POP, and SMTP Settings

To create a Gmail account and set up IMAP, POP, and SMTP settings, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Gmail website (https://www.gmail.com/) and click the “Create account” button.
  2. Follow the prompts to create a new Google account and set up your Gmail account.
  3. Once your Gmail account is set up, you can configure your email client to send and receive emails through your Gmail account using the IMAP, POP, and SMTP settings.

IMAP Settings:

  • Server name: imap.gmail.com
  • Port: 993
  • SSL/TLS: Required

POP Settings:

  • Server name: pop.gmail.com
  • Port: 995
  • SSL/TLS: Required

SMTP Settings:

  • Server name: smtp.gmail.com
  • Port: 465 (or 587 if 465 is blocked)
  • SSL/TLS: Required

Note: If you are using Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for your Gmail account, you will need to use an application-specific password instead of your regular password when setting up your email client.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.
